Board Certified in Neurology Uncompromising Neurological Care Dear Patient, Most likely you were referred to me by your family doctor or another specialist. Even so, I realize that you probably had a choice in several neurologists. So I really appreciate your choosing me. And I promise to do all I can to help you. Whether you were referred to me, or decided to come on your own, most people do not visit a neurologist until they have pain, paralysis, trouble concentrating, memory loss, or some other symptoms that are worrying them. So it is important that we find out right away exactly what your problems are and then get to work treating them. When you come to see me, I promise to treat you like an important individual, not a name or number. I will take the time to listen to your concerns and find out about your symptoms. I will probably run laboratory tests both to identify your problems and rule out more serious concerns. As soon as we have an accurate diagnosis, I may prescribe medicine, exercises, or other treatment that should get you feeling better. As your neurologist, I will also educate you about how to overcome neurological problems. I may have you do special exercises to lessen your pain or paralysis. There are many things we can do together to help you compensate for your problems and function normally in life. But there is more. As a specialist, it is my responsibility to keep up with all the latest developments in neurology, so that I can give you the best care possible. That is why I take advanced training, continuing education classes, and am active in professional organizations. So why do I do all these things? The answer is simple. I want to build a relationship with you based on your trust and satisfaction. It is my goal that every time you leave my office, you will feel really good about every aspect of your care and happy that you chose me as your neurologist. Sincerely, A. Randall Moody, II, M.D. P. S. Again, I am very honored that you chose me as your neurologist. And remember, if there is ever anything I can do for you -- answer a question, explain something more clearly, reschedule or get you in for an appointment, or anything else -- please do not hesitate to ask.
A. Randall Moody II, MD
